30.4. I did get my SIM card recharged, I obviously had accidentally left the mobile data on and the phone had used all the bytes. The operation took one hour at the Vodafone shop and the lady at the shop had to make about six calls to get it done. On our way out we met Tigr at the reception pier and we agreed to meet them the next day at Ceuta. The wind and the waves at the Gib bay were pretty strong but on the strait we had very good wind from the west and made very good speed with the sails and arrived in Ceuta after a little over three hours and 20 miles. The current added about 2 miles to the trip.
1.5. May day. Much better weather than in Finland. The afternoon temperature reached 25 degrees. The harbor is ok but not very cheap, 24€ but it includes free water, shore power and wifi. We took a local city bus for 80 cents apiece for sightseeing. The city is packed with houses with very little room in between. Everything is very neat and the boulevards are quite posh. We washed the deck and I did some work on the teak stool by the pedestal. We had some very nice bacon from Morrison’s in Gib for breakfast and are going out for pizzas to celebrate the fiesta.
