2.5.
Tigs came in later and we spent some time with the guys until late in the night and they fixed the computer problems. We took off around midday and motored a bit west following the shoreline and then set sails and crossed the channel. After crossing the shipping lanes we headed for Tarifa. That leg was pretty jumpy but the wind was good and after Tarifa it was nearly perfect sailing wind all the way to Barbate.
3.-4.5. We left Barbate shortly after 9. The wind was light and during the day we tried to set sails several times to no avail. The wind was light all day but as the conditions were good otherwise we kept going and arrived at Albufeira the next morning. The night was very calm with winds varied between 2-4 m/s mainly from east. he sky was clear and moon was bright especially later that night. We moored at the waiting pontoon to get some more sleep before the office opened but neither of us did get much. We took turns sleeping during the night so obviously we weren’t tired enough. Albufeira has no good groceries nearby so after a little over an hour we left the harbor and motored through nearly calm seas to Lagos. After 26 hours we had covered 153 miles which had taken us 9 days on our outward journey. That time it was different, though because we took our time and the weather kept causing trouble.
